Minecraft is a sandbox independent game created by Swedish programmer Markus Notch Persson and later developed and published by the Swedish company Mojang since 2009. The creative aspect of Minecraft allow player to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D generated world. There is also exploration, gathering resources, crafting and combat aspects of game. There are 4 game modes, Survival, Creative, Adventure and the newest Spectator mode.

In survival mode you have an enchantment bar, health and hunger. There are monsters spawning and you need to try to survive as long as you can. There are multiple dimensions (3) Overworld, Nether and The End. You live in the overworld, Nether is a place with lots of lava and nether enemies, and in The End you fight a giant dragon to win the game. After you kill him you get his egg and you end the game. You can continue playing after that.

In creative mode aspect of survival is removed. You have unlimited number and type of blocks, you can fly and there is no hunger or health. So if you are a building type of a person try this mode. You can build anything you want, with patience ans skill.

In Adventure mode you can't destroy any blocks, but you still have the survival aspects of game. It's used to play custom maps made by other people, like parkour, survival, adventure maps...

In spectator mode you can spectate any person on the server same as you are on.
